1.     Reset Your Linksys Router

·         At first, open your web browser and enter 192.168.1.1 in the location bar then click on the search icon.
·         Now, you will be redirected to Linksys router login page. Here, you need to enter the admin username and password. You have to leave the username section blank and enter admin in the password section.
·         In case the password you entered is wrong or you don’t remember it, then look for the list of default passwords of Linksys router.

3.     Changing the Network Name

·         First, go to the internet connection type drop-down menu and select PPPOE.
·         After selecting, enter the username and password provided by your internet service provider.
·         Then, go to the wireless tab and then click on basic wireless settings and select Manual given under configuration view. In the SSID field enter your Wi-Fi network name and save the changes made by clicking on “Save Settings”.
·         At last, click on connect under internet connection.
4.     Changing the Wireless Network Password

·         On your admin screen, navigate to the wireless tab and then select wireless security sub-tab.
·         Next, in the passphrase section, enter the new password.
·         Finally, to apply the changes made, click on “save settings”.
Now, your router’s password has been changed successfully. Keep in mind that, after changing the password of your wireless network, all the devices connected will get disconnected. So, to reconnect your devices to the network, you have to enter the newly created password.
